| Our Position: We are a Fundamentalist effort. In June 1976, a World Congress of Fundamentalists assembled at Ulster Hall in Edinburgh, Scotland. They defined the term “Fundamentalist” as follows: *Maintains as immovable allegiance to the inerrant, infallible, and verbally inspired Bible. *Believes that whatever the Bible says is so. *Judges all things by the Bible and is judged only by the Bible. *Affirm the foundational truths of the historic Christian faith: -The doctrine of the trinity -The incarnation, virgin birth, substitutionary atonement, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven and Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. -The New Birth through regeneration by the Holy Spirit. -The resurrection of the saints to life eternal. -The resurrection of the ungodly to final judgment and eternal death. -The fellowship of the saints, who are the body of Christ. *Practices fidelity to that faith and endeavors to preach it to every person. *Exposes and separates from all ecclesiastical denial of the Faith, compromises with error, and apostasy from the Truth. *Earnestly contends for the faith once delivered. Ecclesiastical Separation: The Scriptural criteria for ecclesiastical fellowship are given in the Holy Bible. They are as follows: *A genuine belief in and consistent obedience to Christ and the Bible. *A Separation from worldliness, false teachers, and willful disobedience to God’s Word (1 John 2;15-17) *A separation from all forms of religious apostasy, as well as religious compromise of biblical doctrines and principles. *The following verses address the issue of separation: II Cor. 6:14-7:1; III John 9-11; Gal. 1:8-9; I Tim. 6:20-21; Matt. 18:15-18; 1 Cor. 5:1-13; II Thess. 3:6, 14-15. Our Purpose: Obedience to Biblical Doctrines and Principles—God commands us to separate from false teachers, worldliness, and those who willfully are disobedient to God’s Word. Therefore, we will not allow any church, organization, or individual in agreement with Liberalism, Neo-Orthodoxy, New Evangelicalism, Neo-Fundamentalism, or Neo-Pentecostalism to be involved with Plant America Ministries. To Preserve Truth - Since ;ight (truth) and darkness (untruth) contradict each other, and since light (truth) sets men free (John 8:32) and error leads to destruction, we cannot have fellowship with churches, individuals, or organizations that preach, support, or affirm false doctrine, or those who preach any doctrine contrary to the faith (II Cor. 6:14). Therefore, we will not allow any church, organization, or individual that denies the Bible as the inerrant, infallible, and verbally inspired Word of God, or who will compromise the foundational truths of the historic Christian Faith to be involved with Plant America Ministries. To Maintain Fellowship with God—Since Christ has no fellowship with Belial (Satan), we cannot fellowship with God and Satan at the same time (2 Cor. 6:15). God said, He would walk with us if we separate, and “come out from among them” that affirm darkness (untruth), those who pray to idols (other gods), and infidels (unbelievers), 2 Cor. 6:17-18. Therefore, we will not have fellowship ( a unified effort) with an infidel, nor with a church, organization, or individual who would tolerate an infidel to be in a place of spiritual leadership. To Convey Our Belief in One Triune God—Since we are the temple of God, we cannot allow idols to be affirmed. Making allowances for those who believe in gods other that the Triune God Jehovah is to imply that we believe that may be more than one God (Isa. 45:21 says, there is no God but Jehovah. Therefore, we will not allow any church, organization or individual who denies that God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit are three in one to be involved in the Ministry of Plant America Ministries. To Convey Our Belief in the Doctrine of Christ— Inviting a false teacher into your home who denies that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was both God and man is to approve of what the false teacher says and does. Such actions support those who are dedicated to opposing the true teachings of God (III John 7-11). Therefore, we will not allow a church, organization, or individual that denies that Jesus was both God and man to be involved with Plant America Ministries. Our Parameters Every church, church planter, or organization wishing to be involved with Plant America Ministries must: *Be able to sign our doctrinal statement *Be able to sign our ecclesiastical statement *Not use, support, or promote ungodly methods in worship services or evangelistic efforts. *Not use Contemporary Christian Music (CCM). We believe there is a difference between the Holy and the profane in our worship. Since music is a part of worship, we must determine that the music will be holy. We will avoid any form of music that hints of rock, Christian rock, or CCM along with other styles of music inconsistent with holiness. |
