| LOCAL CHURCH CONTROLLED CHURCH PLANTING FUNDS We simply want to present your church members with the need for establishing a church planting fund. Then we want to ask as many as would to give on a monthly basis, or even a once a year basis toward your local church’s fund. Your church will keep these funds in the local church, and control the funds completely. THE WAY OUR NATIONAL OFFICE HELPS As more local churches establish P.L.A.N.T. America funds , and each month money is being set aside to aid in church planting efforts, local churches have the ability to help significantly in planting new churches across America. As these P.L.A.N.T. America funds grow, our board of godly men continue to find God-called church planters who are going to needy areas of our country. As needed, we seek to mentor these men. We also seek to find church planting assistants to help the church planter with music, discipleship, administration, and soul winning. Once these men are ready, with a sending church behind them, we connect them with local churches that have established a P.L.A.N.T. America fund for the purpose of aiding in church planting. These churches, as led by the Lord, support the church planter with immediate sufficient funds. This cuts down on deputation time, and it helps insure that the funds are invested in men who are equipped to lead a church planting effort. While these new churches are being established, we work along side the sending church, assisting the church planter any way that we can. SENDING CHURCH ACCOUNTABILITY Each church planter is accountable to a sending church. We call it the Mother Church. We ask the church planter to consider himself a missionary sent out by the sending church. The authority for the new church will actually be the pastor and deacon board of the sending church. The church planter will be accountable to them. This will help in two ways. First, the church planter will be able to have the authority of his pastor and deacon board behind him to insure that someone will not be able to sway the direction of the new church in a worldly direction. Secondly, this will help the sending church to reproduce a church just like itself. Once, of course, the church is strong, the missionary church planter will be voted in as pastor of the new church, the new church will be chartered, and the church will be indigenous. The goal is to establish independent, fundamental churches to carry on the commission of Jesus Christ. |
